Welcome to Black Youth Creatives Summer 2024 Photography Camp!

Join us for an exciting and creative summer experience! Our camp is designed for incoming middle school students (grades 6-8) for Grand rapids Public Schools who are eager to explore the world of photography. Through hands on-activities and fun projects, campers will develop their photography skills and express their creativity.

Camp Details:

• Dates: Monday July 8th, 2024 - Friday July 12th, 2024

• Time: 10:00 am - 4 pm 

• Location: MUSE SE, 501 Eastern Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

• Age group: Middle schoolers (entering 6th - 8th grade)

• Cost: Free 

Activities:

• Photography Basics: learn about camera settings, composition, and lightning.

• Creative Projects: Work on themed photography projects and build a portfolio.

• Guest Speakers: Hear from professional photographers and creatives. 

• Field Trips: Explore local areas and practice photography in real-world settings.

• Exhibition: Showcase your work in a special exhibition at the end of camp
